What is
Miniature Fine Art?
Miniature Fine Art is a traditional art form that spans many centuries, most often painted with attention to detail, requiring skill and sensitivity to composition, brushwork, exquisite color and manipulation of light and form, just like paintings of much larger scale. A general scale used is 1/6 lifesize or smaller. Most miniatures take as long or longer to execute as larger paintings.
Luann started focusing on miniatures as an art form in 2010, and has quickly earned a reputation as a master in miniature painting, quickly accumulating awards in some of the largest miniature art shows in the country. Her painting, "A Woman's Touch" earned Best in Show at the prestigeous 2013 Miniature Art Society of Florida, where the best national and international miniature artists gather for a juried show of over 700 paintings. |
